Role Overview:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Project Planner to contribute to a high-profile defence project in the UK. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning within defence or similarly complex, regulated environments, with strong skills in scheduling, risk analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and integrate plans.
  • Identify and mitigate potential scheduling risks through proactive analysis and contingency planning.
  • Utilize project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to manage schedules effectively.
  • Provide detailed reports and dashboards on project performance, milestones, and critical paths.
  • Support project governance through compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to drive project delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner, preferably within the defence sector or complex project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., APM, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance is required.
